Harry Sack Backpack – design classic backpack
Harry Sack was introduced for one reason… wearing a backpack is comfortable. Carrying heavy or bulky items is never comfortable, so using the simplest of shapes Harry Sack was born.
Those are the words we wrote back in August 2015 to describe Harry Sack – nearly a year later and we have Harry Sack back! Harry Sack backpack, the simple bag with a stupid name is a large backpack with a main compartment, a front pocket and two shoulder straps, we haven’t fiddled with the design. I want to call it a design classic, so I will, Harry Sack backpack is a design classic.
The main compartment has a slip pocket for your laptop measuring 33 cm x 30 cm and an additional zipped pocket 22 cm x 20 cm. Inside that’s all you get. No padding, no tricks, just clean simple lines and a bag large enough for an A3 pad. It should be noted that the bag is of course constructed from our custom woven 24 ounce canvas, double and triple stitched with all exposed seams being bound over in our signature red tape. And the new jungle canvas is used for the zipped pocket. Outside, the front zipped pocket is ideal to house your tablet or iPad, wallets, keys, drugs etc.
Making a bag this simple and clean makes it difficult to describe. Harry has travelled the world, it has been to the Arctic Circle, South America, Africa, Australia all over Europe and North America the only places that we know Harry has not yet visited is China and the Antarctic. It’s size and shape mean that it works really well when stuffed full, or practically empty, The large top section of the bag when empty flops over, but then when fuller starts to perk up. The shoulder straps, made from cotton webbing and suede are fully adjustable with custom plated metal hardware loops, and are reinforced with new Duck rivets.
Harry is one of those bags that you will keep coming back to, time after time.
